4,500 students walk down the renovated concrete pathways of Vartan Plaza on their way to class, the library, or the cafeteria. H. Edward Black and Associates were responsible for the renovation nof the walkway, including concrete sidewalk replacement, a new patio space at the Bookstore entrance including a water feature and enhanced pavement, new patio spaces at the entrance to the Science ad Technology Building and the Bookstore, lighting, site furnishings including tables, benches, and receptacles and new landscape plantings.
Vartan Plaza is now the heart of PSU Harrisburg’s campus allowing students to relax between classes on one of the patios. Vartan Plaza also is the location of many student activities including a student activity fair and concerts
